Part 5 of 10 My findings on Religion and Christening


I was watching a program on Christianity the other day when somebody on the show mentioned, "Jesus might not be God." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Jesus may possibly not be God and Christianity might not be the true religion of the universe. If Jesus wasn't God, was God still God or was all the stuff produced up to make us turn out to be a far better race of individuals.

Christianity is typically referred to as the greatest story ever told, but I never thought that that it would be the greatest story ever sold to humanity. You have to admit that Jesus may possibly have been the 1 who instilled the thought of Christianity into somebody else's mind, and was looking for Christening gifts for boys but was certainly not the individual who formed the religion of Christianity.

The fantastic salesman over the years were folks like Paul (Saul of Tarsus), the Roman Catholic Church and all of the other Christian groups that have formed to develop modern day day Christianity. I heard that there was over 30,000 forms of Christianity in the world these days. That's difficult to imagine but we all have to agree that there is more than I can count on both of my hands.

Jesus was Jewish and prayed to God frequently. Whenever there was a difficulty, Jesus would typically tell his disciples that he required to be left alone, so that he could pray to God. It's hard to envision, if Jesus was God, he was actually praying to himself. Most Christians overlook this info in the Bible and have a hard time explaining the text.

All it takes is one of these salesman (Reverend, Priest, Pastor or Clergyman) to figure out yet another way of twisting the easy words about to make sense to those who desperately seek to realize or agree with the Christian sales force. Hands down and without a doubt, Christianity has been the greatest story ever sold to mankind. With virtually 2 billion followers, it's hard to show the challenging-core, fundamentalist, Bible reading followers of Christianity that their story, rather possibly could be wrong.

I would like to give some relief to Christians, it's hard to envision that other organized religions all through the world believe in religious text that also can't be proven and to put it rather basically worked in the past, but will not work in the future. It's time for a new story, at least one that makes sense or we can make sense out of it in today's Times.
